REROOTING!

REROOTING!

Before KTM started I felt like I didn’t understand my life‘s purpose,I found myself feeling depressed because I didn’t know what to do. I completedcollege with my bachelors degree in communication at the age of 24. Having tomove back home with my parents after school made me feel like everything I accomplished was for nothing. Even though I felt like I was grateful for my support system I wasn’t fulfilling my soul's mission. So, that’s when I decided it was time to dig deeper, I formulated a podcast called keep the momentum, the goal was to learn how people found the fuel to ignite their fire. Through the mini interviews I did, everyone had a similar connection as did I; mental and physical health, spiritual ascension and love being there in front of everything they did. During that year of doing the podcast I learned that there was a reason for me going back home, to dig up my roots. I was able to see what I really wanted was to learn the true meaning of life and seeing that the blueprint was already within. Health has always been an interest of mine luckily I’ve had amazing people in my life to look up to, my grandma Grace being one. She always advocated for making conscious decisions when it comes to nutrition and physical activity. Which in time the passion blossomed within me. Losing weight like many other people was always the goal and through years of experimenting with diets I realized that health meant more than just trying to say short term goals to fit a social aesthetic, I wanted my life to be intentional. In 2018 my family and I went raw vegan for 10 days because my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer and I just graduated from college who is stressed from finals and had an outbreak which left me with a swollen face, which still hasn’t been diagnosed. I just knew it was time for a change; for all of us. After the cleanse my face was completely back to normal and not too long after that my dad was once again tested and the cancer was gone. My mind was blown, the way I felt and the results we received were so astronomical that I realized there was nothing I ever wanted more out of life. I realized how everything was starting to connect and how my spirit was being lifted. I’ve been influenced in many ways from family and friends, to people becoming interested in my lifestyle from seeing my smoothies and meals posted on social media. Which deemed the idea of starting my own business. In April of 2020 I added onto KTM with creating a platform for others to make their own lifestyle changes. I provide a multitude of products including smoothies, teas, immunity boosters, along with a lot more in the works. The ultimate goal is to bring forth the idea that through merging spirituality and nutrition comes true alignment. Though I’m pushing this movement, I still have moments where I have to realign myself with my intentions, what mark I want to leave, what lessons I want to learn and grow from. Which is why I felt KTM was going to be something that would bring myself and a community of like minded people together because I think everyone can relate with having to reroot. We aim to be grounded/healed but sometimes in life we plant seeds in places, we watch them grow, sometimes the plant flourishes and other times the plant isn’t able to thrive. So, you have to dig it up from its roots and plant it in soil that it’s able to reach its full potential. We’re exactly like plants, we have to pay attention to what elements our bodies truly feel aligned with. We’re all different, we all have different wants and needs with different wants and needs with different timelines, and the goal is to try to be comfortable with rerooting. Not getting discouraged if your leaves may fall; some seasons are better than others. As we grow, as our bodies change, so do it’s needs. Our job is to listen to the stories our bodies are telling us and have fun learning through the many journeys we’re being taken on. What we have to remember is we have to stay present, intentional and Keep the Momentum.
